Fender lost both of his forearms on the Pinap Pelago during an attack that also severely injured his late teammate, who later succumbed to his wounds. Devastated, Fender was forced to retire from his role as an Explorer. Due to the emotional trauma and physical injuries he sustained, he vowed never to return to the Pinap Pelago. As a double amputee, he struggles with everyday tasks. He is equipped with a large wooden saddle, allowing small passengers to travel comfortably on his back. Completely mute due to scarring around his throat, he communicates through body language, facial expressions, smoke clouds, and sharp exhales. Despite lacking arms, his body is incredibly muscular, a result of his unique physical condition.
